    But there’s no denying that cooking a roast can be pretty stressful – not to mention all the washing up you have to do afterwards.

    Sometimes you just want a lovely, relaxing Sunday when you can enjoy a delicious roast dinner that someone else has made.

    But then again you don’t want to break the bank.

    Not to worry though, if you look hard enough there are pubs out there that will cook you a decent Sunday dinner for not much money.

    In fact, Croydon has a few you should try out right now.

    Crown & Sceptre

    The Crown & Sceptre

    Where: 32 Junction Road, CR2 6RB.

    Ranging from £6.75 to £8.55, you can get roast beef, lamb, pork or chicken, or a vegetarian option, all served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a Yorkshire pudding.

    Little Bay Croydon

    Little Bay boasts theatrical, red-velvet decor inside

    Where: 32 Selsdon Road, South Croydon, CR2 6PB.

    You get either roast beef with roast potatoes, vegetables, a Yorkshire pudding and gravy, or a loin of pork with roast potatoes, vegetables and apple sauce. Both meals cost £9.45 each.

    2. For under £10 you can get the Carvery Silver Salmon Supreme or Kid’s Carvery on the Sunday menu.
    3. Carvery Silver – turkey, beef, gammon or pork with Yorkshires, mac & cheese, roast potatoes and vegetables – £9.95.
    4. Salmon Supreme – fillet of salmon served with grilled peppers and hollandaise sauce with potatoes and vegetables – £9.95.
    5. Kids Carvery – £6.95.

    Green Dragon’s roasts are served with a Yorkshire pudding, roasted parsnips, roast potatoes, buttery mash, seasonal vegetables and red wine gravy.
